ENTRANCE ATTIRE: Niko makes his way to the ring wearing a black leather jacket, and aviator sunglasses. This accompanies a typical Greek warrior grab to cover his tights.
IN-RING ATTIRE: Trunks that show off his amazing, god-like legs. Colors vary from bright to the mundane.
ENTRANCE: “The Perfect” by Gesaffelstein echoes through the arena as the lights dim, and a golden spotlight bursts onto the entrance. Emerging from behind the curtain and staging steps, ”The Modern Day Marvel” Niko Kallis. His lower half was draped in a Greek warrior’s cloak, with his leather jacket and aviators completing the picture of untouchable style. He takes a moment, removing his leather jacket. He takes time, posing at the top of the stage, allowing the audience to marvel at his physique. Then, he struts, pausing halfway down the ramp to tilt his head. He lowers his sunglasses just enough for the cameras to catch his smirk. It’s as if the entire arena exists solely to admire him. Every movement is controlled, dripping with swagger. He approaches the ring like a model walking the catwalk in his own personal palace.
At ringside, he whisks the cloak from his shoulders with a flourish, letting it fall to the floor as though it’s unworthy to cover him any longer. Sliding into the ring, he climbs the turnbuckle and stretches his arms wide, basking in the golden light like a living statue carved by the gods. His hands find his abdomen as he points to himself with both hands, counting every ab. He mouths “Marvelous” while flashing a grin. The boos rain down, but he only soaks them in like applause. He hops off the turnbuckle before finding the center of the ring. As the golden spotlight finds him once more, he poses for the camera one more time, awaiting the beginning of the match.

BIOGRAPHY

“I want to follow in my father’s footsteps, but do it better.” This was the response that Nikolas Atlas Kallis gave to the question, ‘What do you want to be when you grow up?’ Almost from birth, Niko idolized his father, Giannis Kallis. Giannis, a high-ranking bank official, showed his children that with hard work and a great education, you can find yourself in charge of millions of dollars (though you may never make it yourself). Giannis was a consummate professional, a well-regarded member of their Stamford community. Nikolas and his siblings revered their parents, as both provided blueprints to aspire to. Marisa devoted her adult life to nurturing the children in the community. As an educator, she touched countless lives with her gentle spirit over the years. As a mother, she made sure that everything the Kallis children needed was taken care of. Their union was beautiful, though it was formed in a broken place.Giannis had dreams of being like those magnificent athletes he obsessed over seeing on the Wheaties box. It never mattered what sport, because he was aces at them all. Though he was a talented athlete, Giannis was unable to receive a scholarship to Boston College. To him, this was only an obstacle, not a deferment. Giannis worked many jobs to pay his tuition. He had hopes of walking on for the football team, but those dreams unfortunately never happened. He did his best, but was never able to do so. It was by a chance meeting with one Cornelius Walker that Giannis would find the source of his dream. Walker used his connections to make Giannis Kallis…. Stavros Pappas, “The Rhodes Colossus”. Giannis worked hard and eventually found his way into the 1980s territory scene. An and coming wrestler who trained hard, flirted harder, and partied hardest. His rise could have been stratospheric, but his fall was greater than even he anticipated. After two years in the business, his work rate brought many injuries to Giannis’ magnificent body. The pain and punishment were worth it. He partied, indulging in women and pharmaceuticals to mask the pain. In 1989, on the heels of his big break, Giannis would suffer a neck injury. This significant injury would sideline Giannis. He would do what most wrestlers did at the time. He would continue to mask his pain with drugs, alcohol, and women. The continued abuse would give him a serious addiction, one that he could have succumbed to. It was one faithful fall night when he ran into the beautiful Marisa Valentine.Marisa captivated Giannis, and he wanted her badly. She saw right through his ruse, but the two struck up a beautiful friendship. She saw the good, bad, and ugly that pro wrestling plagued Giannis with. She helped him find the battle and win against his addiction. She would also help him find his faith and mend a broken fence with his father. In this, she fell in love, and the two were married within a year of Giannis’ sobriety. Giannis returned to college, obtaining a degree in finance. In his mind, he paved the road for his future children. In theory, this would be the case for Nikolas. While Niko looked up to his father, he had no interest in following in his corporate footsteps. Niko always dreamed of being a coach; he wanted to have a positive impact on the lives of those around him, much like his mother. Nikolas was athletically gifted and was a natural-born leader. He was ready to go to college and pursue that dream. It would be a strange twist of fate after graduating high school that would take Niko down his current path.Giannis was never forthcoming with his children about wrestling past. It was something that he was ashamed of, not because of the tights, but because of the ramifications of donning them. It would be as Niko prepared for college that he would find out about his father’s wrestling career. He watched old videos, the three that existed, and was shocked by his father’s presence. It was in this moment that he saw his father in a completely new light. When he approached Giannis, he was shocked by his father’s dismissal. He did not understand why his father wouldn’t see that it was as awesome as Niko did. Though they would eventually break down and tell him the whole story, it never deterred Niko’s thoughts on the matter. He had seen wrestling, and he even liked it. It wasn’t until now that it dawned on him why his father was so dismissive of it.Niko would go to college, but slowly realized that he was not made for a career in the daunting world of education. He continued, but something about it wasn’t working. He participated in his favorite hobbies, the gym included, but there was still a lack of that presence he longed for. He would drop out of college with one year remaining and have the conversation that his father dreaded. It was from that moment on that his father knew his son wanted to become a professional wrestler. It wouldn’t be long before the grind of college drew Niko closer to the flame. Much to his parents’ chagrin, Niko dropped out of college. He immediately found a wrestling school, starting his training in the northeast. Within six months, he moved to Miami to continue his training elsewhere. Now, he’s ready to show the world that his father’s bad luck was simply a matter of circumstance. The path his father started will be travelled and finished by his loving son.

Highs & Lows

+: LOYALTY, LOYALTY, LOYALTY- Niko was raised to believe that loyalty, much like family, is EVERYTHING. When it comes to people he cares about, Niko will move mountains. He will forever be loyal to those who show him love. Though sometimes it may be a fault, ultimately, as long as you’re loyal, you can never be wrong.+: ATHLETICISM - Chiseled like a Greek God with the athleticism to match a proverbial beacon on Mount Olympus. Niko is an amazing athlete, which leads him to push himself further and further into his craft. His athleticism has led to him having a varied wrestling style because if he can physically do it, he’s going to do it. Will it always be perfect? No! Is he still going to try it anyway, duh!+: ATTENTION TO DETAIL - Something he learned over the years from his detail-oriented folks. Your first draft is rarely perfect, but it does not mean that your draft needs to be scrapped. Niko will work, work, and work some more if it means he’s able to finally master something. As a former high school and collegiate athlete, he’s a fan of tape studies and often applies that method of corrective criticism to his in-ring work so he can learn from his slip-ups and mistakes.+/-: AMBITIOUS… TO A FAULT - Niko is a very all-in person in all aspects of life. He fell in love with wrestling… hard. His wrestling training started the day after he graduated from High School, almost going as far as skipping out on college entirely because he wanted to devote as much time to honing his craft as possible. Eventually, he would follow his impulse to drop out of the University of Connecticut to fully pursue the “pipe dream”, as his father would say.

+/-: STRONG WILLED - Niko truly believes he can move mountains, because he’s the person who will be pushing it. While a strong will can be a great characteristic, he can often bite off more than he should be able to chew, but it doesn’t mean he’s going to just roll over.+/-: PRIDEFUL ARROGANCE - While he is athletically gifted beyond measure, he lets his physical acumen often seep into his personality. While generally likable… he is bold, brash, audacious beyond measure, and that can often times be seen as a major character flaw.-: INEXPERIENCE - Being twenty-one years old, and a relative baby to the business, there is a level of naivety that Niko possesses. No amount of stories or training can truly prepare him for every moment. He’s bound to slip up at certain points, and inexperience often plays a part in that.-: LUSTFUL EYES - He’s a twenty-one-year-old who looks like he’s chiseled from stone, of course, he’s going to look at anyone and think he could have them. While largely respectful, he’s known for wandering eyes and flirtatious glances that can often get him in trouble.
